Ten Months

Another month has flown by, and our little guy is nearing the 1 year mark! This month’s photo session with him was considerably more challenging than usual. He is so interested in exploring everything around him, and becoming quite uninterested in his mama with the big camera in front of her face. Try as I might by calling his name, making funny noises, and playing peekaboo, Caleb would indulge me with only half second glances before turning his attention elsewhere. However, thanks to a quick camera and fast fingers, I was able to get some good shots.
Caleb continues to grow and change so much as the weeks go by. He is a very fast crawler now and often surprises me by how quickly he makes it from one point to another. It’s hard to believe he’s only been crawling for a month. He seems to be in no hurry to start walking. He’ll pull up to his knees, but cannot get himself up onto his feet just yet. If I set him up on his feet while holding onto a wall or couch, he likes to hang out that way for a while.
Caleb continues to eat with enthusiasm, and gets quite excited when he sees that we are preparing something for him. Some of his new favorites are Cheerios, broccoli, and black beans mixed with applesauce. In addition to his two bottom teeth, Caleb recently sprouted a couple teeth on top. Interestingly, instead of the usual two front teeth, his front left tooth and right incisor came through. I think the right front tooth is close behind though.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, this is the first month that Caleb has slept in his crib! During the transition from Korea to Arizona and finally here to Alabama, Caleb had been in a pack n play. When our household goods arrived, we found out that the moving company had somehow lost the portion of the crib that holds the mattress in place. Jason got to work and built a replacement piece, so Caleb has been enjoying his nights in a real crib for the last few weeks.
