Six Months

Caleb has reached the six month mark! He is such a smiley, sweet little guy. No teeth just yet, but all the signs of teething are there. We went to his six month appointment yesterday. Caleb weighs a whopping 18 pounds, 4 ounces! He’s at a stage where he loves to grab at anything within his reach–be it the kitty, the face of the person holding him, a toy, or a plate of food. Speaking of food, he has been especially interested in watching us eat lately. Because of his interest, and also because he is six months now, I decided to go ahead and give him some baby oatmeal. His reaction was less than enthusiastic to say the least. I still think he’ll really enjoy eating and trying new foods, it may just take him a little while to get used to the idea.
I was able to snap some photos of him sitting up on his own this month. He is not very stable, but manages a pretty good tripod sit. I’m going to do my best to enjoy these last couple months of immobility. Pretty soon, I know, he’ll be on the move and much harder to keep track of. On the other hand, I’m excited for him to be able to chase his big brother around. ¬†Caleb adores Ezra (and likewise) and will smile and laugh whenever Ezra interacts with him. It melts my heart to watch. I am so blessed to be the mama of these two sweet boys!
