Six Months

Caleb has reached the six month mark! He is such a smiley, sweet little guy. No teeth just yet, but all the signs of teething are there. We went to his six month appointment yesterday. Caleb weighs a whopping 18 pounds, 4 ounces! He’s at a stage where he loves to grab at anything within his reach–be it the kitty, the face of the person holding him, a toy, or a plate of food. Speaking of food, he has been especially interested in watching us eat lately. Because of his interest, and also because he is six months now, I decided to go ahead and give him some baby oatmeal. His reaction was less than enthusiastic to say the least. I still think he’ll really enjoy eating and trying new foods, it may just take him a little while to get used to the idea.
I was able to snap some photos of him sitting up on his own this month. He is not very stable, but manages a pretty good tripod sit. I’m going to do my best to enjoy these last couple months of immobility. Pretty soon, I know, he’ll be on the move and much harder to keep track of. On the other hand, I’m excited for him to be able to chase his big brother around.  Caleb adores Ezra (and likewise) and will smile and laugh whenever Ezra interacts with him. It melts my heart to watch. I am so blessed to be the mama of these two sweet boys!
