Seven Months

Wow, our baby boy is already 7 months old! Caleb has changed a lot this past month. A couple weeks ago, his two bottom teeth poked through within a day of each other. Since then, he has been sticking his tongue out a lot. I think he likes to feel them. His blonde hair is finally growing in a bit more. Most of it is growing in the middle of his head, which creates a natural mohawk. Sometimes after his bath I like to style it so that it sticks up.
Caleb’s newest skill is clapping. He loves to clap and will break out in a big smile when we clap with him. He has his own little way of clapping where he holds his right hand still and moves his left arm only.
I’ve introduced Caleb to a few new foods this month. In addition to oatmeal cereal, he has tried avocado, sweet potatoes, applesauce, and whole milk plain yogurt. I can’t say that any of them are his favorite, but he does get excited when it’s time to eat. I think I’ll let him try some bananas next.
Little man still does not sleep through the night, but I think our current living situation may have something to do with it. Caleb and I share a room, and I have a theory that once he is in his own room, he will sleep better. That’s how it was with Ezra at least… He typically wakes up twice a night to eat. He’s gotten really good at going down for the night, which is wonderful. I can usually lay him in his bed awake and he will fall asleep in a few minutes. Now I just need to work on getting him to sleep longer stretches!
Caleb sits up really well now, and entertains himself for quite a while if I set him up on a blanket with some toys. He also loves to roll over, and will sometimes roll a few times in order to reach something.
The months have been flying by and it has been a joy to watch this little guy grow and change. He is such a blessing!

He’s so cute, love his smile, adorable, great photo shots. I like him day dreaming and touching his toes.
