Neuschwanstein Castle

This is the last set of photos from our two week long road trip with MiKela last summer. Our final stop was Neuschwanstein Castle. We walked about one hour up to the castle from the town of Hohenschwangau, took some photos around the entrance, then walked another 15 minutes to the Marienbrücke, which provides a beautiful view of the castle (first photo below). Jason and I visited Neuschwanstein back in 2009, and we have a blog post with photos and some history of the castle HERE. We did not go inside this time around, as the lines were quite long, and only a very small portion of the castle is open for the tours. Overall, it was a great afternoon. We enjoyed our time at Neuschwanstein and it was a great ending to our road trip.

Mom & Dad excited to visit,

Sharon Slingo Padden and her daughter took off for Greece yesterday, not sure if Tim went with them. Sharon just posted on her fb page her and daughter.

I love you,
