Eight Months

In the midst of reuniting with dada, packing, and moving out to Alabama, Caleb reached the 8 month mark! I finally got a chance to take a few photos of him for the month. These were taken behind our new home. Caleb is an easygoing baby, which has been great during this time of transition. We left Korea when he was nearly 3 months old, stayed in Arizona for the following 5 months, and are finally getting settled into our new home here in Alabama. The little guy has yet to sleep in his crib!
Caleb has not quite figured out how to crawl, but he manages to get around by rolling. If it’s on the floor and he wants it, he will find a way to roll over to it. Just recently he’s begun to lunge forward onto his arms and get into the crawling position. I know it’s going to be a whole new ballgame as far as parenting goes when he is really moving around.
Baby boy still loves eating, and his chub is a testament to it. Whether he’s nursing or eating solids, he’s a happy camper. I am excited (and a bit wary) to announce that he has slept through the night for the past two nights – and I’m talking a straight 8 hours! Yesterday morning when I woke up, I felt so refreshed. After getting sleep in two or three hour chunks since he was born, an 8 hour stretch was amazing. I hope and pray that it sticks!
I say this every month, but I honestly can’t believe how quickly he has grown. He’ll be running around and getting into mischief with his brother before I know it.
